Exhibition centers – Cologne

Cologne has plenty of attractive event venues. Alongside the traditional convention centres and hotels, there are also rooms in historical buildings, in museums, in villas, in film studios, in old factory buildings, as well as -as might be expected for a city on the Rhine- on ships and other venues with views of the river. There are over 130 event venues available with approx. 900 rooms, each with the capacity for at least 50 people. In addition, there is around 131,000 m2 of space for conventions, with room for well over 100,000 seats. If you include the facilities in the city's surrounding areas, these figures increase substantially. For example, a large audience (over 15,000 people) could fit into the Convention Centres in the Co-logne Exhibition Centre (Koelnmesse). Other large venues in this category include the Lanxess Arena and the Gürzenich.
