Düsseldorf 'Altbier'

Famous Düsseldorf 'Altbier'

'Alt' beer from Düsseldorf is one of the city's specialities that have become internationally famous. Naturally, it tastes best in one of the local breweries. Most of them are located in the legendary Altstadt, the old town. In some of them you can even see the huge brewing vat. Alt beer is top-brewed, copper-coloured, tart in taste, partly with a distinct flavour of hops.

'Killepitsch Kabueffke'

Original Düsseldorf 'Killepitsch'

Killepitsch - A herb flavoured liqueur which has become a true Düsseldorf speciality. Until today, its recipe has been a well guarded secret of the family Busch. Made exclusively from natural ingredients, Killepitschis left to ripen in earthenware bowls for a full year. This guarantees a perfect blending of the herbs, fruits and berries with the alcohol and makes the liqueur unrivalledly smooth. This process has been unchanged for more than 40 years and results in a product of constant quality. Visit the ‘Kabüffke’bar & store, located in the old town and have a taste of something typical and special.
