Train

Düsseldorf is part of an extensive railway network connecting the city with the most important cities in Germany and beyond. The central railway station is positioned on the country’s most frequented railway route. More than 1,000 trains call on one of the regional capital’s two ICE railway stations. Stylish  glass facades, brighter ceiling panelling, new gastronomic services: with 10 million Euro to be spent on an architectural overhaul, Düsseldorf’s central railway station holds many improvements in store.

A highly modern local network (tram, bus and underground) encompassing 1,400 km and an optimal connection with both the Rhine-Ruhr and the Rhein-Sieg local transport networks complete the spectrum of transport services.

Car & Taxi
Düsseldorf possesses an extremely well developed motorway network. With its motorway connection with the A 3, A 44, A 46, A 52, A 57, A 59 and A 524, the regional capital is situated in the midst of one of the densest European motorway networks. 13 motorway junctions are located within the city’s boundaries.

Furthermore, Düsseldorf offers the highest density of taxi services in Germany.
