Short trip (1 day)

In the morning a guided walk through Munich's old town centre (lasting about 1:30 hrs - offers here). At noon go by tourist coach or public transport (tram from Karlsplatz, also called Stachus) to Nymphenburg Castle (duration including transport about 3 hrs). Afterwards go by bus or underground from Marienplatz to Fröttmaning to visit the Allianz Arena (about 0:45 hrs).

Weekend (2 days)

Day 1: In the morning a guided walk through Munich's old town centre (lasting about 1:30 hrs - offers here) Afterwards a backstage tour of the bavarian State Opera (0:45 hrs). In the afternoon take a bus or public transport (tram from Karlsplatz, also called Stachus) to Nymphenburg Palace(duration with transport about 3 hrs). Later go to a performance at the Bavarian State Opera (3 hrs)
Day 2: In the morning take a bus or underground train from Marienplatz to Fröttmaning to visit the Allianz Arena, the new football stadium (about 0:45 hrs). Afterwards view the new BMW World (from summer 2007, take the underground to Olympiazentrum). In the afternoon go on a subject tour on "Beer" with a visit to a brewery (2 hrs).

Enjoy Munich ( 1 week)

Day 1: A city sight-seeing tour by bicycle to see Munich's highlights (2:30 hrs; offers here). In the afternoon pay a visit to the fascinating Pinakothek Modern (2 hrs). In the evening go and see a musical at the Deutsches Theater.
Day 2:
Nymphenburg Palace with its famous Gallery of Beauties and the porcelain factory (3 hrs). In the afternoon go on a tour through the new "Allianz Arena", Munich's temple to football (about 0:45 hrs). In the evening a tour through a brewery with beer tasting.
Day 3:
Go on a walk through Munich's historic centre (offers here) to visit its most important churches and see the carillon at Marienplatz. Lunch in the reconstructed Schrannenhalle (corn exchange) with its innumerable restaurants, snack bars and workshops. In the afternoon visit the Munich Residence, the royal residence, and go on a backstage tour of the Opera House. In the evening see a performance of the Bavarian State Opera.
Day 4:
In the morning go on the Bavaria Filmtour of the Geiselgasteig film studios. In the afternoon visit the Deutsches Museum (the largest museum of science and technology in the world) (allow about 2:30 hrs for each). In the evening go to a Bavarian evening in a traditional inn (2 hrs).
Day 5:
In the morning go and see the richly-coloured paintings of the Blauer Reiter (Blue Rider) artists' group in the Lenbach House. Afterwards go and see the classical sculptures at the nearby Glyptothek and enjoy a snack in Greek surroundings in the atrium.
In the afternoon visit the Olympic Park and go on a breath-taking Climbing Tour on the tent roof of the Olympic Stadium (2 hrs). In the evening see a theatrical performance at the Munich Kammerspiele, which has won numerous awards.
Day 6:
In the morning visit the new BMW World (from summer 2007) (about 2 hrs). Afterwards go on a trip to Lake Starnberg and take a boat to the Buchheim Museum in Bernried with its outstanding collection of German expressionists.
Day 7:
In the morning visit the Old Pinakothek with works by famous masters from Dürer to Rubens (duration 2:30 hrs). In the afternoon a trip in the English Gardens by horse-drawn carriage and then on to the beer garden at the Chinese Tower.
