Diversity has a name - Germany's Magic Cities. The cities of Berlin, Cologne, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart together make up the Magic Cities Germany association. 

The marketing alliance has been promoting the attractions of Germany's major city destinations in international markets for more than 50 years. The cities are places where people can experience art and culture as well as major business centres. The Magic Cities association is supported by Deutsche Bahn, Lufthansa and the German National Tourist Board.

The Magic Cities have been extremely successful in attracting the majority of all foreign visitors to Germany to spend a visit to at least one of the eleven cities. In 2011
more than 3.5 million overnights have been counted from Asia: 653.000 from China and 291.00 from India. 438.000 overnight stays have been counted from Australia. The new target market Brasil has almost registered 300.000 overnight stays to the Magic Cities.
